Max & Cerise is a Canadian children's animated television serial produced past Nelvana Limited based on the book series by Rosemary Wells. The series debuted on Treehouse TV on May 3, 2002, in Canada[one] and on Nick Jr. on January 7, 2003, in the United States.[2]
Premise [edit]
Max & Cerise is about two bunnies: Max, a rambunctious and determined three-year-old and his sis Ruby, a patient, goal-oriented and sometimes restrictive vii-twelvemonth-old.[3] The series takes place in a fictional boondocks called Eastbunny Hop, in a universe populated by by and large bunnies and other creatures in the 1940s and 1950s. Co-ordinate to Wells, the series shows the relationship betwixt Ruby, Max and the universal nature of sibling relationships.[4]

Max & Ruby is produced past Nelvana Limited, in conjunction with Silvery Lining Productions for its first 5 seasons, which was caused by Chorion in 2005.[12] 9 Story Media Group overtook producing the blitheness from Nelvana in flavour 3 and would go on animating the series for seasons 4 and 5, with Chorion co-producing the series for seasons 4 and v. Afterwards Chorion and its sectionalization Argent Lining Productions both shut their doors after flavour 5, Atomic Cartoons, a Canadian blitheness studio, overtook co-producing the serial, flavor 6 of which premiered on September 18, 2016,[13] with a new chief vocalisation bandage and theme song, along with each episode now having ii 10-infinitesimal segments per half-hour, rather than having 3 7-minute segments as in previous seasons. Flavor 7 of the series premiered on August 12, 2018.
In an interview with Nick Jr., Wells has said most Max and Blood-red's unseen parents that "we don't see Max and Ruby'south parents, because [she] believe[due south] that kids resolve their issues and conflicts differently when they are on their own. The boob tube series gives kids a sense about how these ii siblings resolve their conflicts in a humorous and entertaining way."[4] Yet, in flavor 6, the series finally introduced Max and Ruby's parents.[xiv]

on Sunday, "Max and Ruby" returned with new episodes for the start time since 2013, and who should show up at terminal but Mr. and Mrs. Bunny? .. It was a large weekend for "Max and Ruby." Non only were Mr. and Mrs. Bunny introduce, but Max, who could previously only spit out 1 or 2 words at a time, is suddenly speaking full sentences and attending preschool.
